French
Languages are an essential skill and tool in the global market that is today’s world. The understanding and speaking of a foreign language goes hand in hand with the understanding of that country’s culture. In business, the ability to speak your client’s language will put you in an advantageous position and you will be far more likely to clinch a deal if you are able to communicate in your client’s language rather than relying upon English.
French is widely spoken and is a major diplomatic language, within both the European community and the United Nations. Furthermore, due to its colonial past, French is also to be found widely on the African continent and in South East Asia.
In A Level French, students will have the opportunity to become fluent in both speaking and writing while gaining greater understanding of the French-speaking world.
