Mathematics

Mathematics is one of the strongest subjects at David Game College.  Each year we run several classes at AS and A level, with students regularly achieving the highest grades.  Our teachers are highly-experienced - read about them in our Staff Profiles page.

Mathematics at A level is a stimulating and enjoyable subject to study in its own right.  In addition, it is valued by universities and employers both as an essential component of many degree courses and careers, and also as training in clear and logical thinking.

At As level you will have completed three modules: Core 1, Core 2, and S1, which is an Applied Mathematics module in Statistics.  Students studying A2 Mathematics will take a further 3 modules: Core 3 and Core 4 are Pure Mathematics modules, extending your knowledge acquired in AS Mathematics.  You will also study another Applied Mathematics module in Statistics.

Each of the three modules is examined by a written paper of 1 hour 30 minutes.
