David Game College and LILA* Liverpool have joined forces to create a world-class college in the heart of Liverpool. The newly established David Game College Liverpool, also partners with Steven Gerrard Academy to form a powerful education hub for Liverpool that provides students with a unique opportunity to pursue a gold-standard British education in a contemporary setting. Students can choose from a focused range of A Levels or University Foundation Programmes both of which have the option of adding on an elite football coaching programme from the iconic Steven Gerrard Academy.
Although in its infancy, David Game College Liverpool marries the expertise of London’s David Game College and the renowned love of education from LILA* who collectively have over 65 years of experience in delivering an outstanding education for students.

We do this by creating an open and exciting environment, which not only sees students achieve top grades but encourages those of differing abilities to set and achieve personalised goals that they can be proud of. We specialise in preparing students for university entry by providing a range of advised A Level and University Foundation Programmes and focusing on examination success. We teach students from 16 years plus (must be non-compulsory school age) in small classes of between 8 and 15 students per class.

The David Game College Campus is situated in New Barratt House on North John Street, within 5 minutes’ walk of James St Station, Paradise Street Bus Station and 10 minutes’ walk of Central and Lime St Stations.
At 4,500 square metres, the purpose-built, design-led College is filled with natural light and an airy open-plan design. The inspiring learning environment is filled with art and each classroom has an individual theme centred around the culture and heritage of Liverpool. Two large common rooms are equipped with kitchen areas, a ping pong table, a foosball table and large screen Smart TVs perfect for students to relax and make friends.
Designated ‘Quiet Areas’ provide students with space to work and focus. These can be accessed on an ad-hoc basis or students can book a time to think and concentrate on their studies.
The open-plan design and glass walls of the college were designed so that the staff and students get to know each other and to foster the nurturing environment that the college is famous for. Students are encouraged to talk to academic and support staff about any issues that may arise during their time at the college.

We offer a focused range of A Level Courses that we know work well in seeing students through to the top UK universities. All subjects are available as two-year courses, many are also available as eighteen-month or one-year courses. Additionally, one-to-one or small group tuition may be provided on request. You can combine a number of different classes from our list of subjects and decide which course length works best for you.

Our University Foundation Programme (UFP) was established in 1989 and is one of the most successful in the UK. It is accepted by over 90 UK institutions including universities in America, Canada and Australia. 70% of David Game College UFP students obtained offers from Russell Group universities in 2021.
The UFP is a fantastic alternative for students wanting to go to university who do not wish to study A Levels but have appropriate GCSE or equivalent qualifications.

The UFP will not qualify you for entry to dentistry or veterinary science degree courses or to Oxbridge, all of which require high grades in three A Levels.

The Steven Gerrard Academy has seen over 1000 students graduate from its football programmes with many going on to university, being awarded football scholarships or continuing their journey within football clubs.
Excellent training facilities boast a selection of grass and 3G pitches where students have access to world-class football coaching led by UEFA-licenced coaches who all have experience at the top academies including Liverpool Football Club.
The collaboration between David Game College Liverpool and Steven Gerrard Academy gives academically capable footballers the opportunity to combine A Level study with an elite-level football training programme.
UEFA-qualified and experienced coaches lead stimulating training sessions designed to improve personal fitness, tactical and technical awareness, team and individual performance. A sports science approach is used to introduce innovative and up-to-date methods and to monitor player performance.
Higher-level squads can play in the FA Youth Cup against professional youth academies, compete in the National Football Youth League against professional scholar sides such as Leeds Utd and Newcastle Utd and be invited to play in friendlies against clubs such as Aston Villa FC and Wigan FC.
Other squads are entered into local college leagues and cup competitions with the aim of developing players to move into the higher-level squads.
The latest technology and sport science principles develop player performance and coaching. The performance analysis team uses industry-standard analysis software to provide video and statistical feedback to players and coaches. The use of GPS systems allows the coaching team to track players’ physical performance, monitor training load and measure performance metrics, such as distance covered, speed and energy expenditure.
To monitor fitness levels before, during and after each season, students complete regular fitness and body composition testing which helps coaches tailor a programme to each individual player.
Advice is provided on nutrition to ensure students are fuelled correctly for training and matches with gym programmes and food plans in place to help them reach their physical goals.
