The Schools Art Competition

Congratulations to the four students from David Game College were asked to exhibit their photographs in the Leighton house gallery and were nominated for prizes for the sixteenth annual Schools art competition and Exhibition.  The Leighton House Museum hosted a garden party which was attended by nominees from 33 schools in the borough of Kensington and Chelsea.  The aim is to encourage children and young people to pursue and develop their interests and talents in art

The competition was fierce as there are some very talented young people in the borough so unfortunately we didn’t win a prize this year.  However, it is a great privilege to have work exhibited in such a prestigious location.  Students received a certificate from the Mayor of Kensington and Chelsea.

The students exhibited and the title of their work:

David Zoh                                            “Tree Henge”

Bobby John                                         “Wawa “State of play”

Maria Johncock Larsen                       “Who I am”

Malek Khateeb                                    “Spiral Cones”

The exhibition runs from 10th June to 28th June 2015. Following the exhibition in June, selected artworks will be available for businesses to hire for display in their offices spaces for a period of up to twelve months, linking schools and businesses to support young artists.
