Geography Trip to Olympic Park

The A level Geography class spent two days gathering fieldwork data in East London for their unit 2. The Olympic legacy is clearly making a massive difference to the area economically, socially and environmentally but are these benefits experienced by everyone? Our surveys aimed to compare the area before and after the Olympics and questioned whether rebranding East London is truly sustainable.

The Olympic Park it is also dangerously near the Thames as it situated on the flood plain of the River Lea. The flood hazard is ever present so we investigated what is being done to reduce the possible risk of flooding in the future to protect the locals and the
business from disaster. Geog2
