The David Game Drama Society

On Monday 13th July 2015, The David Game Drama Society received news that they have been selected from amongst tens of thousands of applicants to take part in the National Theatre’s Connections 500 programme 2015-2016.

A prestigious annual event that has been taking place for over two decades, 2016 will mark a very special 21st anniversary celebration. Supported by many prestigious performers and directors such as Lennie Henry, Meera Syal, Anthony Horowitz and Ben Power to name but a few, this will truly be a unique and life-changing experience for all participants.

With a choice of 12 scripts written by leading playwrights, students will not only get the chance to perform at the college, but will also be given the jaw-dropping opportunity of performing  on a professional  London stage! From these 500, 12 groups, one to represent each of the carefully selected scripts, will then be chosen to perform at the National Theatre Festival on the world-renowned ‘Olivier’ stage in early July 2016.

So, if you aren’t already a member, get yourself signed up on either Registration Day, 10th and 11th September, as this academic year promises to be a very special one indeed!
