Maya holds a degree in Theology from King’s College London, specialising in social anthropology and Christianity. She made significant contributions to the pastoral and academic wellbeing of students from Year 10-14 at a leading London Fifth and Sixth Form College where she worked for nearly two decades, as a director of Studies, Assistant International Director and Head of GCSE/PSHE/Careers. She specialised in guiding students through every stage of the university application process, drawing on deep expertise in personal statement development, course selection, academic strategy, and pastoral support. Across these roles she has supported hundreds of students with UCAS and Oxbridge applications, overseen curriculum planning, and led pastoral initiatives for learners with a wide range of needs, She is a Tutor in RS at both GCSE and A level, becoming an experienced examiner and the author of multiple editions of Getting into Psychology, published by Trotman. She has since had experiences in educational consultancy and student recruitment and has worked with learners with a wide range of needs, including those with ASD, ADHD, anxiety, and depression. Maya brings warmth, clarity, and a highly student‑centred approach to her work. Known for her communication skills and meticulous attention to detail, she is committed to helping each student articulate their strengths, navigate important decisions with confidence, and achieve successful outcomes in higher education.
